sangeethapriya urls - a technical doubt

when i search in sangeethapriya, i get a list of links based on the query.

when i click one of the links, it plays or downloads, whatever the case may be.

but, when i copy paste the links somewhere else, it always leads to the homepage. is it web designing or any technical fault of the browser?

kindly clarify.

I have the same problem.
What i do is i right clock and open the link in a new window before it opens with a media player. Then i can go back to the original page by manipulating the web address. Once im there it opens with the capithca thingo.

This is a problem after they introduced the CAPTCHA system to prevent people leeching the site and putting too much load on it.

A work around is:
Don't click on the link but rather copy the text of the part just prior to the the mp3 section eg:
if the link is ht tp://sangeethamshare.org/asokan/CARNATIC/019-MLV-Oct27/05Manasaramathi.mp3
just copy the text of
ht tp://sangeethamshare.org/asokan/CARNATIC/019-MLV-Oct27/
and paste this in a new window or tab
This will take to you to the directory of the full concert.

This query should have been posted in one of the forums of sangeethapriya (either Yahoo group or Google group)

Nevertheless, here is the reason:

In order to prevent bandwidth theft, hotlinking protection has been enabled in sangeethapriya / sangeethamshare for MP3 files. Which means, the MP3 links will NOT work if the "referer" is some other website, such as rasikas.org.

So ,if a MP3 link is copied and pasted in another website such as rasikas.org, clicking on it will take you to sangeethapriya home page
