JUST NOW i got the very sad news that the great sarod exponent ustad Ali Akbar Khan passed away at 10am IST AT San Fransisco. heartfelt condolences to his family and lakhs of his fans. gobilalitha

Very sad year for music. The doyens of Indian music are falling one by one. Just last night I was hearing a 1978 recording of L Subramaniam with Ali Akbar Khan

May his soul rest in peace.
