Some time back there was an article about IPL matches being shown live in a few multiplex theaters.

What about a few concerts live in theaters during the music season. With the kind of technology available it won't be difficult to relay a concert live and telecast the same in theaters. It could bring more people to listen to concerts and could benefit serious rasikas also. I would any day , prefer a a good multiplex to many of our auditoriums.

Interesting idea. Doesn't even have to be live, could be recorded & well produced video concerts.

Hmm, not polite at all.
At least provide a translation for the benefit of non-Tamilians!

Here is a translation:

Fond Memories - If Thulasi itself is so big!

There was a temple festival in Chettinad area. Many Nadaswaram vidwans and vocal masters were invited for the occasion. Chembai also came a few days before his scheduled concert. He wanted to combine the trip with visits to nearby temples.

One vidwan from Madurai desired that Chembai should attend his concert. He was tremendously excited on seeing Chembai in the audience. He wanted to let Chembai realize his vidwat.

He demonstrated his expertise in vilamba kalam and sang slowly. He started 'Thulasi Bilva' after stretching Kedara Gowla alapana for more than half an hour.

Chembai lost his patience and left saying, "If Thulasi itself is so big, bilvam would be even bigger. I am hungry, let me finish my dinner before he finishes the kriti."
