I've been trying to access Sangeethapriya for the last two days, and it always sends me to some page called cPanel. Is it a problem with my browser? (I use Mozilla Firefox on a Mac).

Looks like this site is still down. Could anyone contact the webmaster and inform about the site being down please?

I wonder if it is only me or generally true.....the music output quality of hummaa.com is much much better than musicindiaonline.com....also there are perceptible disturbances in the latter which is not there in hummaa....Please comment....

Cheers

Sam

Sam, I feel the same way. MOI's compression ratio may be higher. Many songs sound a bit 'tinny'/mettalic. Technology keeps marching on, faster download speeds are available and storage has become much cheaper, and these days music sites can afford to have better quality audio files. The same thing with Video, the conversion to HD is going on.

Considering the volume of music tracks they have MIO have reduced the audio quality bitrate to less than 32 KBPS along with low sampling frequency . Hence that metalic quality.

Yes.I agree with Sam. humma is very good . probably the affinity ,as it is from Bangalore. Also another factor is their wonderful play lists by the members in all languaes.Once I asked them to search for a beautiful ,very old melodious song by Lata 'haye chanda gaye pardes'. in the film Chakori. they traced it from the archives and included it in their list of hindi film songs. I also mailed it to my friends and daughter gobilalitha
