I am pleased to announce another great Carnatic vocal concert taking place at the Arch Space in Manhattan on July 18, 2008.
Sankari Krishnan, an A-Grade Artist from All India Radio (Chennai) since 1993, will be performing with accompanying artists S.P. Ananthapadmanabha on Violin, A.R. Balaskandan on Mridangam and G. Balaganesh on Morsing.
Sankari has performed in many prestigious organizations in India USA, Germany, Finland, Singapore and Malaysia. She has won accolades for her interactive performances with prominent and popular jazz musicians of international repute.
Sankari had her initial training under Shri K.S.Subramanian of Trichy and was a gold medalist from the University of Madras. She has also received advanced training for over a decade from one of the greatest maestros of all times, Padmabhushan Lalgudi Shri G.Jayaraman under whose tutelage she has blossomed into a reputed performer par excellence
