I am sure there are plenty of rasikas out there subscribing to the internet service of worldspace radio...I am also one of them....I am not entirely happy about the service....it is constantly disrupted and for days I do not get any service...and then suddenly the service re-appears ( or heard ). My on line communications are of no use, the persons on the other side, are always extremely polite ( yes sir, yes sir, three bags full sir)...but no action. The other day, I had no service for two full days...spent considerable amount of time with the on line help guy...explained my problems...the answer was " Sir, I will forward your problem to our technical department and they will get in touch with you"...I am still waiting for their come back...mean time the service has returned.

To-day, as usual, the service got interrupted with the message, that "I have been logged out because my subsription has finished". I went into my account only to see that my subs are valid till about 22nd of this month..

I had demanded of the help guy that I should be credited for the non-service days and the reply was, "yes sir. of course you will" and I am still awaiting for their generous credit...

Am I alone in this situatiion ? How about other subscribers ? Could we not voice our opinion as to their service in this forum?

I wanted to give them a direct email, but lo, go to their site, you will not find a place "contact us" with any of their contact details.

Or am I completely wrong?

Cheers

Sam :(

Sam,
We have a couple of World Space personalities here on the forum. You could ask them to help out. Then again, they are at the broadcasting station. Transmission comes from somewhere else, perhaps. Still, worth a try.

Why don't you unsubscribe and get a refund.
That should get some action going.

I stopped my subscription to Shruti because of their abominable technical support and constantly failing service. You are not wrong at all, but I advise that you unsubscribe completely to rid yourself of this perennial headache. Arasi, I know G Ravikiran frequents this forum. But who's the other?

I had subscribed to Shruti and other ( 10 ) online channels for nearly 9 months when it died a natural death . I think couple of things must have happened . Either they got only a handful of die hard crazy guys like me who went all the way from the begining to the end and never giving up . Naturally its very difficult to run a show with just 10 people around the world subscribing . or they realized they are way behind this technology..and needs to ramp up significant amount of infrastructure issues . I hope they come back on line soon . For me its like back to surfing . I have nothing else to look forward with my internet connection . All the free stuffs out there is basically trash except a very few ( no offence to any one )

Ostensibly, early in June world space had sent a general circular ( copied below) to every one. As a subscriber, I did not get it, but I got this thru a source in B'lore. And that was in June. None of my queries were ever answered. So much for customer service !!

Arasi, I too have seen Srividya Prakash writing in this forum on behalf of the Shruthi. But it appears, she has not seen this thread.

For what ever it is worth...here goes

June 3, 2008

Worldspace will be back on Sep 10th with 25 channels with introductory offer of $6.99. They will change it to AOL radio since MSN radio sucks . Annual membership will be $49.99 . For more information write to [email protected] . This is a invitation only offer for those registered in the beta program . Others have to wait for another 2 months

Cheers
