Writing about Music

Dear All

I recently noticed a discussion on a thread about Vikram Sampath's book on Mysore. I noticed that those posting were not aware of my weekly sunday column in the Express on music

.

I will try my best to post these articles in the appropriate sections of the forum. I write about musicians (I am attaching the article I wrote on TMK) and about classical music concepts - I remember rasikas requesting me to discuss western classical harmonics on this forum once - so this may at least marginally satisfy that request.

Thanks Anil. I was a regular reader when I was in Chennai but the option of reading it online even while "in "exile" did not strike me. Looking forward to a long and informative series a lot of which, I am sure, will provide this forum with food for thought and debate....

I am posting one more for your reading. Also, please do check out madraspianist.blogspot.com on a regular basis. I created it so as to keep uploading my contributions to Sruthi and Express for those who do not subscribe to either.
