According to karnatik.com, Isamanohari is a janya of 28 mela Harikambodhi.I was listening to the famous Tyagaraja kriti 'manasa sri ramachandruni' rendred by Sri SR Janakiraman. He says it is the janya of Shankarabaranam,29 mela.
Could I get some clarification?
SRJ's rendering is in the following link :

There are 2 versions - one that uses kAkali N3 (in addition to kaisiki - N2). This is the one used by dIkshitar and if I interpret Prof SRJ correctly, this is similar to the one in tulAjA's work which assigns it to Sankarabharanam. I am presuming mudduvenkatamakhin does the same?
Thyagaraja's version doesnt use N3 - and Prof SRJ says it is based on sangrahacUDAmaNi which I am presuming would have assigned it to harikAmbhOji.
But I think today, people (also) assign the one that uses N3 to harikAmbhOji (but N3 as anya swara). Atleast that is how learnt it when I learnt SrI gaNanAtam.

Mudduvenkatamakhi assigns it to 28th mELa as well, just calling it sampUrNa without any further explanation about N3 usage. But he lists it among the bhAshAnga janyas of harikEdAragouLa.arunk wrote:There are 2 versions - one that uses kAkali N3 (in addition to kaisiki - N2). Prashant,
Check the SSP - for both the raga lakshana as well as notations for SrI gaNanAtham (i have also learnt this song with N3 in phrases which fall into the subset SD mentions contains N3). This krithi ananta bAlakrishNa is not in SSP - the two krithis are SrI gaNanAtham and jagadISamanOhari - both contain N3

True - In fact, this kriti's maTTu is almost like dinamaNi vamsha, right?prashant wrote:I just listened to Sri Vijay Siva's rendition of ananta bAlakrishNa mAmava and could discern no trace of N3. I think it's available on sangeethamshare in the Dikshitar section.
As an aside - One CD labelled Sri Ganantham bhajarE - as hari kAmbhOji  too !
