Could some one tell about the Origin of Madras Music Academy and the founders of this premier institution.

One of the founders is Shri. T V Subba Rao. He is the first SangIta kalAnidhi along with T. S. Sabesha Iyer and M. S. Ramaswamy Iyer

Here's the potrait of Shri TV Subba Rao which I clicked during the visit to Music Academy in Dec 2007

It was a funny visit. We were accompanied by our friend who was our guide to the Music academy ,who pointed us the founder's picture at the entrance. We were so surprised to find our friend a look-alike of Shri Subba Rao. He then told us that he was his Grand Uncle!.
