in olden days Ananda vikatan used to publish caricatures of performing carnatic musicians, especially by Mali, probably the best in thefield, while reviewing the performances . the one in which the legend ariyakkudi stuffing his nose with a pinch of snuff was a masterpiece,similarly some vidwans helplessly rai.sing their hand, looking up while negotiating a note of sanchara in the higher octave, as if calling for help from God; oh my god , help me to get this sangathi was another masterpiece.. can anybody post them. gobilalitha
