We would like to know the feed back from fellow forum members particularly those who are not in Chennai about the direction we have to take in the next year. We have no idea as to how many have downloaded the concerts already uploaded ( you can expect a flurry of uploads during Deepavali holidays) . The next program which will have a lecture and a concert is intended to create more awarness on various aspects of CM , which was one of the objectives for starting this venture. Please post your comments on this .

I'm not in Chennai, and I can confidently say that you guys are doing something fantastic. I recently had at my home a concert of Sri Vijay Siva and a chamber setting is just so awesome for music. It's so intimate and fulfilling. I only wish I can time a trip to Chennai in time to catch one of these events.

rajumds,
Let me first thank you and the other Chennai organizers for your wonderful efforts.
I would strongly press for a lecture series (in English) on music and musicians. Happily, you appear to be launching just this. In particular, I would appreciate historical insights into how music has developed over time.
It might also be interesting to launch a discussion on some topic on the forum, cover the basics there, and follow it up with a scholar's presentation on the same subject, taking us much deeper into the topic than we could otherwise go.
Most importantly, please do set up a simple way for non-residents of Chennai to contribute financially in some small way to the lecture/concert series.
Finally, please consider releasing the concert and lecture recordings in a commercial form. Temporary uploads are exciting, but there is long-term value in these efforts that must be preserved. Also, you could consider other educational efforts such as books and classes. rasikas.org has become a significant gateway to musical knowledge, and such efforts (executed with care) will extend the services it already provides.

Lectures are a great idea....and TRS is a great start! Alas I am not in town on that day so will have to skip this one. But I do hope future concerts also invole some educational aspect. If not a formal lec dem, then at least some brief descriptions/comments from the artiste to help us appreciate the music/finer points better
