as part of birthday remembrance of Thiruvengadu Jayaraman in the name Guru Smaranam, organized by family of Thiruvengadu Jayaraman. the talks were kept to 15 -20 mins; the concert started as stated at 6:30.

choice of krithis with a beautiful spread of composers like dhanyudevudo, jambupathe , mamava pattabhirama is VijaySIvaish . I did not know or may be i have forgotten the krithi Anandabhairavi prEmasvarUpa , googled now to find that is a OVK krithi.

More than that very nice to also see the age old sastri hall is back in action. For few years hardly it was hardly used . WIth kutcheri season just few months away, let sastri hall be rented by few sabhas that are now gone away but they had heavily used like ganamukundapriya . Family pressing chores, i wanted to be on this day same time to hear prasanna venkatraman in ragasudha .

the one thing that stuck me as I was listening to that chakkani with ME - why wasn't SK decorated by being awarded to ME long back.. sigh..

ME is not featured by Music Academy since Me2 of 2018.No chance for SK.
