The entire 3 hrs program was not only a feast to eyes but also to ears. It was a mini vocal concert too without RTP. Every item started with an explanation on the gist of the song bringing out the features elaborately. It was meaningful and enjoyable. During intermission all could enjoy the sweet Hamsanatham displayed by Violin and Flute. The Thillana was the composition by TK Govinda Rao. It is learnt that Guru Mohana Narayana has trained from very young age under the guidance of her mother Smt Usha Narayanan, a renowned dancer and AIR A grade Artiste from New Delhi The Chief Guest in her speech mentioned the efforts taken by the Guru in making her disciple to perform so very nicely filled with bhavam, grace movements with appropriate Laya sudhdham. The Hall was full and the audience were spellbound throughout. enjoying the program more deeply specially the Orchestra. Learnt
Ranjani is a disciple of Neyveli. A very good evening spent for the feast of eyes and ears. Expecting further review on this program from Rasikas who attended this great event.

I have no clue in general about dance . Looking at the list i am wondering how can any one dance to such a fast song as nagumomu ganaleni . I am asssuming the paddantaram though tailor made to dance with its share of nattuvangam is adapted initially from the bit slower Dr BMK version and is not the Semmangudi electric cheenu version.

Best wishes to Neha Perla. Thanks thanjavooran for your review

Thanjavooran,
It's a good thing that our young performing artistes, even if it is a debut performance, get an audience in high numbers and get reviewed too, to top it! Thanks to you for taking the trouble in sharing your experience with us. Yes, when the music is melodious and of quality, it enhances the performance. Ranjani is NSG's student too, you say. No wonder.

As for nagumOmu, the essence of the song is pathos. So, as a padam, it would have been sung with bhAvam at a slower pace is my guess. A foil to the tillAna which follows, the one which has the gait and verve--gambhIra, but mrudhu vANi of a tillAnA!
