She announced the Pallavi is set in navasandhi Talam. It is of 32 Aksharams, and this Pallavi was taken in “kubEra Sandi” which is of

She started explaining various tAlams, like matta, bringi, brahma. Etc., For a minute, I thought whether I had come to lec-dem or a concert ?!. She also sang the Pallavi in kEdhaaram, bEgada, kalyAni, kAmbodhi, YG Kambodhi & Mohanam and Shree and in each rAga, she changed tAlams and gave some numbers for those tAlams

I leave it to rasikA’s imagination as I did not understand any of the above. But it was fabulous.

In MA, every artist brings new ideas and rasikas expect that too. KG’s 45 minutes RTP was, of this category and superb. KG, with a sweet voice coupled with hard work is always in my “concert list” and she presented one kriti composed by her Guru.

Violin and other accompaniments were good at their respective field. I don’t remember whether I have seen Violin artist coming in “KurtA” dress.
Sri. Balasubramanya- SaraNam- she did not repeat that and finished in one shot. Fast track. Surprising. The saraNam of this kriti is beatifully worded by MD. could have dived in to it for 3-4 minutes.

Bad miss I read in the music academy book that the pallavi was in dharmavathi.. Did she change the ragas?

Thanks musiji- I corrected to Darmavathy, I always have this "rAgaphobia"- whether S.madhyamam, keeravani, darmavathi. etc., Thanks for correcting me.

One more thing, I observed the midhanga vidwan could not get the tAlams of KG and he kept his instrument silent most of her ragamaaliga singing (during Various ragams and various type of taalams)

I felt KG did not have rehearsal with their accompanyments.
