Mega Camp - revised schedule for June 2, 3

The International Foundation for Carnatic Music (http://ifcm.ravikiranmusic.com) will organise a first of its kind mega music workshop on Carnatic Masterpieces featuring legendary gurus and musicians Padmabhooshan P S Narayanaswami, Prof S R Janakiraman, Padmabhooshan Trichur Ramachandran and Smt Rama Ravi.

The icing on the cake will be a rare chance to learn directly from venerated composer Shri Tanjavur Shankara Iyer, who will be offering special master classes on his own compositions. This mega workshop, to be held at Narada Gana Sabha, Chennai on May 26, 27 and June 2 and 3, will cover a range of great composers including the famed Carnatic Trinity of Tyagaraja, Muttuswami Dikshitar & Shyama Shastri, G N Balasubramaniam, Dharmapuri Subbarayar, Pattabhiramaiah and rare pre-trinity composers like Ramaswami Dikshitar, Kavi Matrubhootaiya and Kuppuswami.

This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for students, amateur musicians as well as performers and teachers to interact with these great artistes and gain invaluable insights from them.

It is open to anyone above 5 years who have learnt music for at least two years and have a minimum repertoire of 25 compositions.
