Sri RSachi thanks for sharing this link. very nice articles in this magazine. Happy to see your articles too, especially the interview with Sri Abishek Raghuram. I completely feel the same when Abhishek says someone " specialising " in carnatic music sings carnatic music differently than someone who sings other genres too. Yes rasikas can easily make out if a musician is only into carnatic music. Those who sing Hindustani music too sound different indeed when they sing the carnatic kritis. My personal preference is for musicians who are only into carnatic music.

No No I dont have and dont want Gnanam. Because then I would concentrate on pointing out flaws and mistakes of musicians ! All I want is Bhakthi and to feel it in songs.

I just completed a thorough study of the Bhagavadgita. Its core message is that it is only divine grace that confers gyana (that is why we say vidya dadhati vinayam) and that gyana culminates in true, ananya bhakti!
