MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS IN DIVINITY – A SERIES OF MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION by Violinist DR M LALITHA (of the Violin Duo M. NANDINI)

Under the Production Grant, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India, Violinist Dr M Lalitha Senior Violinist, Musician & Fulbright Fellow, (of the Duo M. Nandini), will be presenting a series of episodes on `Musical Instruments in Divinity’- a thematic Multimedia presentation featuring different instruments each month.

The third instrument of the series to be featured this month on Tuesday June 24th 2014 will be on `Gethuvadyam’ at the Raga Sudha Hall at 6.30 PM. Sri. K. Ayyanar, Regional Officer, ICCR, Chennai will be the Chief Guest while Kalaimamani, Senior Vina Exponent Sri. P. Vasanth Kumar, Committee Member, The Madras Music Academy, Chennai will be the Guest of Honour.

There will be a special concert of Dr M Lalitha and M Nandini accompanied by Sri Avudayarkoil Sri H. Subramaniam on the Gethuvadyam assisted by his student Sri S. Subramaniam and also a solo performance of the instrument.

All are welcome for the event.
