I was searching for the word to word meaning of the song Kapali Ni Dayanidhi in ragam Palini. I could find a post where lyrics was posted on this website ( http://rasikas.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1062 ... alini.html ), but couldn't trace the meaning.

Lord kapAlISvara (kapAli), husband (pati) of pArvati (umA), repository (nidhi) of compassion (dayA), I wish you (nI) will come (varuvAi) as my companion (tuNai) (in this journey of life).

anupallavi
sabhApati nidam enpAl iniyAgilum kanindaruL purivAyO
Oh lord (pati) of the cosmic stage (sabhA), will you, at least now (iniyAgilum), melt in compassion (kanindu) and shower (purivAyO) your grace (aruL) upon me (enpAl) at all times (nidam) [1].
madhyamakAla sAhityam
sAmagAna vinOdanE shivakAmi nAthanE sakalalOka nAyakanE sarvEshvaranE
One who delights (vinOdanE) in the chanting of the sAma vEda (sAmagAna), the consort (nAthanE) of SivakAmi, the master (nAyakanE) of the entire (sakala) world (lOka), the lord (ISvaranE) of everything (sarva).

AlAhalam uNDa nIlakaNThanE kAlanai udaitta kailAsanE sabEshanE
naTEshanE mahEshanE prakAshanE jagadIshanE sadAshivanE
Oh blue (nIla) throated one (kaNThanE) who consumed (uNDa) the deadly halAhalam (AlAhalam), resident of mount kailAs (kailAsanE) who kicked (udaitta) yama (kAlanai), master of the cosmic stage (sabhESanE), lord of the naTas (naTESanE) [2], pre-eminent lord (mahESanE), brilliant one (prakASanE), master of the universe (jagadISanE), the ever (sadA) auspicious one (SivanE)!
