I think customarily khanjira is listed before ghatam, so Anirudh should come before Guruprasad. Though since both of them are very well known players of the respective instruments, it shouldn't be an issue... =)

Apologies if they'll be playing unusual instruments. I still remember TMK's concert with TVV on mridangam in ClasFest 2008, with nATTai pallavi.

I have also enjoyed music at IIT,Madras during 80s. Concerts by Veena S Balachander; MDR; Radha & Jayalakshmi; Mysore V Doraisamy Iyengar etc;

one thought that the custom was always otherwise... One always knew the traditional order as 'Vocal/veenai/flute - fiddle - mrudangam - ghatam - kanjira - morsing - tambura.'

This I am confused about. I only know for sure that the tambura artist usually gets no mention at all, leaving the morsing at the end of the list in the most "junior" slot.

Possibly time we started chipping away a little at the set-in-stone idea of seniority among what is the team of musicians on stage, anyway.
