Is Sri.Balu Raghuram a local artiste ? Havent heard about him . whose disciple is he ?

Yes, he is. I know that he studied the laya aspects with Raja Rao, but I can't remember who he studied violin with.
"local" in that he has been settled in the UK for quite some time now, but he hails from Bangalore, and would have been active in Chennai ten or so years ago before moving to London. He did come here in 2008/9 season and played a few programs
You would be correct in assuming that Subathra is his wife. I'm sorry to say that I have never yet heard her play.
