Dear All

I'm a new member of this forum.

I am looking for a teacher too. Violin and Kanjeera. Absolute beginner in carnatic except that I have some past experience in western guitar and chords and scales so the initial barrier should not be too tough as I can handle fretboard and stringed instruments. New Years resolution again - that should have been implemented earlier like 2006 ... :)

My objective is to understand and appreciate what I hear better both intellectually and practically. I believe only a practicing musician can truly appreciate the subtler points and intricacies - an understanding that will only come after attempts at regular practice over the years. Hence I've decided to start with both at once. To be a better rasika as well as a reasonably competent musician ... that is my aim.

Somewhere close to IndiraNagar, Bangalore would be best else I can only do weekend afternoon classes if farther away. Weekdays only morning classes possible die to work schedule.

TIA
Regards
