For all the interest I have in CM I have never really managed to learn music that much but I still hope to be able to do that atleast upto a point where I can appreciate CM even better. In an attempt to start again I request any of the learned forum members to take CM classes for interested members of this forum. I am probably asking for a lot but I promise to be a sincere disciple. I am sure there are others who would be equally interested.

If the teacher posts the audio for a lesson, the students can learn from that and post back their versions for comments/corrections. Again just like any other topics/threads only a few may be actively learning, but I am sure that a lot of others will benefit from such discussions.

Have you had a chance to look at the following thread about learning on one's own

http://rasikas.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=687

Out of them I have the Shivkumar Kalyanaraman's CDs and I can vouch for them that they are very good.

Thanks sramaswamy. I am aware of such sites/material and also Sri Shivakumar's site but it is not interactive and I never get to know whether I am learning correctly or not. Here I am NOT trying to learn on my own.

If such a venture is initiated please include me also as a student. If there are any classes possible in Chennai at some place I'm keen to join. To start with I would like to sing from memory all the pacharatna kritis before next Thyagataja Urchavam.
