What exactly would describe VVS style of music?

I was trying to find some info on this since I was signed up to take some vocal lessons from one of his students. I want to make sure that his style was not very different from the old school that I am used to - which is has it's lineage to the Brinda-Mukta school. Any input would be appreciated.

Is the VVS you are refering to the violinist VV Subrahmanyam or vocalist VV Sadagopan? Neither could be classified under the Brinda-Mukta school. Violinist VVS has a website at http://www.vvsubrahmanyam.com/
