Shri TN Seshagopalan - Vocal
Shri M Chandrasekharan - Violin
Shri Guruvayur Dorai - Mrudangam
Shri TV Vasan - Ghatam

Date : December 8, 2008
Venue : Narada Gana Sabha Main Hall
Time : 7:15 PM - 9:15 PM

1) Meenakshi Memudham - Gamakakriya - ANS
2) Sarasa Samadhana - Kapi Narayani
3) Nadhupai - Madhyamavathi - ANS
4) Mayamma - Ahiri
5) Swararaga Sudha - Sankarabharanam - AST
6) Eru Mayil - Surutti
7) Mangalam

The concert started later than scheduled. The Dikshithar Krithi first up was itself very elaborate. All Krithis were well rendered. The Ahiri and the short Ragam interludes in Kapi Narayani (between the Pallavi and Anupallavi and the Anupallavi and Charanam) were the picks of the concert to me. The main Sankarabharanam was short and could have been more elaborate. The concert ended rather soon. Was expecting a longer concert.

As the audience started walking off it was so distracting both for the audience and artistes on stage. I felt really bad when people even started walking off after Meenakshi Memudam. May be that is the reason he finished the concert soon.

TNS always comes late for the reasons best known to him only! If every saba follows the time and principle like Music Academy, then he will be on time!

"if a tree falls in a forest and there is nobody to hear it, does it still make a sound?"

TNS is not a tree but a forest. One should not miss the forest for he trees
