Dear Rasikas,
I happened to listen to Ms.Vasudha Keshav's concert in Coimbatore recently and was
highly impressed with her performance especially the Raga elaboration of Shubapantuvarali and her RTP in Jyothiswaroopini.
Later after the concert I came to know that she belongs to a rich musical lineage of Tiger Varadachariar and
Harikeshannalur Muthaiah Bhagavathar and wondered an artiste of such High Calibre and musical merit getting ample
opportunities in the ensuing Chennai Music Festival.
I give below her season schedule for rasikas :-
4th Dec 08 : Karthik Fine Arts : NGS Mini Hall 2.00 to 4.00 pm (Vio:B Ananthakrishnan, Mri: B Sivaraman)
9th Dec 08: Nalinakanthi, MGR Janaki College, Mandaveli 6.00 pm to 8.30 pm ( Vio: V Sanjeev, Mri: Mannarkoil Balaji)
16th Dec 08: Mylapore Fine Arts 1.30 to 3.00 pm (Vio: Amritha Murali, Mri: Trivandrum Vaidyanathan)
17th Dec 08: Brahma Gana Sabha 2.15 pm to 3.45 pm (Vio: Melakaveri Thyagarajan, Mri: Mannarkoil Balaji)
19th Dec 08: Kapali Fine Arts, Sastri Hall, Luz, Mylapore 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm (Vio: Shertalai Sivakumar,Mri: Melakaveri Balaji)
4th Jan 09: Indian Fine Arts, German Hall, 10.30 am to 12.00 noon

Hi
Played a few concerts for the above artiste and she is very good. She has very good sruthi Sense and has a firm grip on Laya. I played for her in Raga Sudha and TTD during the past few months and i found her to be very promissing. I think i have also written a review about this artiste earlier about her concert in Narada Gana Sabha, Mini Hall about a few months Back.

Worthy artiste to listen to.
