Still to work out venues etc. Right now it is little more than an idea and I am not sure I am best qualified to plan this out! Anyway, for starters:
We could start with the bhajans around the Kapali temple tank at say, 5...pay respects at the temple - visit some landmarks of musical interest in the Mylapore area (sadly have no clue about this other than Musiri's house which still holds concerts!)...Have breakfast at Karpagambal mess at about 7 and gather for a jam session at about 8 (volunteers needed for hosting this) and wind up with lunch at NGS. Ideas most welcome.
Itinerary for 6th is simpler. Just land up at Raga Sudha Hall and we can head for Woodlands afterwards

Sure sir, we can do the walk/jam session on 30th morning if everyone else is in agreement. We could also meet for lunch/dinner earlier in the season besides the planned meeting on the 6th.
Suma - "jam session" is when we acid-tongued rasikas get to walk....or should I say, sing/play....the talk. And while the majority of us come back chastened about how much more difficult it is up there on the stage as compared to shooting off a post, we've also had some fine performances by the likes of Uday, Vainika, Nick and Kiravani who treated us to one of the finest Neravals I have heard in Kambhoji

I am in Chennai now and will be here till Jan 10, though wil be away in Bangalore from 13-19 December. Hopefully I will be able to attend some of the rasikas events. I will email through my Chennai cell to Vijay.
Also I have a couple of concerts (synthesizer). One is an afternoon concert at Swamy's hall Mandavelli on the 27th. Hope Chennai rasikas can make it.

Thanks all for the note on "jam session". Since I wont be able to recognize you'll, I am going to ask you'll to waive to me. I will come to Narada Gana Sabha canteen after the 10am concert on 24th. Will have to leave by 1:15pm due to prior commitments for a class at 2pm. You can recognize me as my kid will be next to me with his violin, although not in the formal kutcheri attire.

I am pleased to inform that Sathya will be happy to perform for our forum members, if you are all interested and can be organised, in any one's house. May be Sathya can be blessed to jam with one of the violin and mrudhangam artiste of our forum for this concert. I am unable to organise it in our small beautiful house as probably 5-8 people only can sit and enjoy a concert apart from the performers. We welcome any one in our forum to please come home any day.
