The Saptaparni Institute at Hyderabad is planning to organize a five day workshop on compositions of Dr.M.Balamuralikrishna by his disciple Prince Rama Varma, from the 3rd till the 5th of December, 2008. Here is an amazing video of Dr.M.Balamuralikrishna singing a brilliant Raga Alapana followed by his Thillana in Kunthalavarali. along with his disciple Prince Rama Varma. This was recorded at the French Consulate in Pondicherry the evening when Dr.Balamuralikrishna was awarded the title of Chevalier des Letters et des Arts by the French government. Prince Rama Varma spoke in French and gave a concert, at the end of which Dr.Balamuralikrishna joined him and sang this delightful thillana. It is such
