VK. Thank you .That was a good report. I came in just before Sarasa sama dana . (Blame the traffic jams of Bangalore , it took 2 hours from my house to Malleshwaram )vk wrote:Main Player : Smt Rajeshwari

However the long drive was worth every minute. Rajeshwari Mami gave a superb demonstration of the Karaikudi Bani , with its unique fingering technique and held the audience in thrall. Vachaspathi Ragam was followed by a breath taking Tanam prior to Kanta Choodamani.
She was extremely well supported by her disciple based in Bangalore Shri A.Shankaraman.
Shri Cheluvaraju was all delicate touch(e) and was a great example of an ideal Mridangam accompaniment for Veena. Shri Balakrishna , son of Veena Maestro Mysore Doreswamy Iyengar gave a short but enjoyable speech before the penultimate item. Thanks should also go to Smt Ambuja Krishnamurthy for organising the program.
Look forward to attending Kalpagam Mami's prog on 20th July 2008 at Gayana Samaja.
