You should have no trouble looking for a teacher (of either Singing, Violin or Mridangam) in Michigan, especially if you live in Troy.

If you want my opinion and are looking for a top notch perfectionist, may I suggest Maddurai Sundar uncle. If I remember correctly, he lives in Troy as well.

Now a days online lessions (in google talk & skype) started in India by leading performers. We need not drive hours together if they accepts to teach.
