Pinnacle award for carnatic music amateurs

I urge all to visit taaraa.com and post your opinion poll on whetther a coveted award, similar to the Pulitzer or Oscar being awarded for professionals, can also be created for amateurs in the carnatic music domain. This may appear humunngus at first, but with sufficient mobilisation and comittment of resources such an award can be created. Of course there should be several commendable awards in the domain for amateurs already, which I am not aware of, (someone can enlighten), but a pinnacle award is worth contemplating.
