Sri S V Krishnan, throughout his life was devoted to the propagation of value based classical carnatic music and promoting talented young artistes with such a bent of mind. In Commemoration of his birthday which falls on April 16, Naada Inbam has arranged a series of 12 concerts between 11th and 27 th April. The programme includes the young artistes whose music was assiduously promoted by Sri S V K, ( Prasanna Venkataraman, Amritha Venkatesh, Nandini and Bharathi Ramasubban,), Sumathi Krishnan, R S Jayalakshmi (Veena) and the eminent maestros Govinda Rao, Vedavalli, Rama Ravi.besides the doyen veena vidushi Smt Kalpakam Swaminathan.
All these events are being held in the Raga Sudha Hall
It was in the fitness of things that the inaugural concert of the series on 11th April, was by Smt Gayathri Venkataraghavan, Sensing her potential , early on , Sri S V K had extended his continuous support to her. Smt Gayathri has fully utilised the opportunities and has risen to the senior level in a short span of seven years. She was accompaniedon the violin by Smt.Padma Shankar , another atiste whose talent was recognised and nourished by him ,leading to her accompanying senior musicians nowadays. Sri A S Ranganathan provided the mridangam support..

A factual error has crept in in the posting.
The veena concert by Smt Kalpakam Swaminathan on the 27th April is part of the regular monthly programme only.
The Commemoration Concerts are from the 11th April to 22nd April only. The only Instrumental music in the series is by Veena Vidushi Prof. Smt R S Jayalakshmi on 19th April whose patanthara suddha, spontaneity and sastraic sanctity was very much admired by Sri S V K.
