MLV sings it for a dance in the movie 'kuladeivam (?1950+). The dance was performed by sai and subbulakshmi....

NO - the danseuse was none other than Kum. Kamala (Lakshman), and I think the choreographer was vazhuvUr rAmaiAh piLLai.

I also rememeber that MLV rendered this song for a dance sequence in the film Kuladeivam and dancers were Sai and Subbalakshmi.

Thanks for responding. I have the audio cassette of this song; but I feel the clarity will be better with a CD track. I can locate the song in musicindiaonline; but can't download it from there. Can't locate it under cooltoad. Any other ideas?

I do not know about the movie clip, but are you all referring to the Thaye Yashoda by MLV in raga malika starting with Kuntalavarali and not the usual one in Todi.? It was released as a 78 RPM.

That ragamalika (kunthalavarali, kaapi..) is from the movie clip.
