Mangalakara Ragas

DRS/CML and others...
I have got a doubt. I always wondered What makes a particular raaga a mangalakara raaga ( I mean what makes it auspicious) Is it the moorchana or the sruthis of the swaras used in it or both?

This should be a separate topic and we should not interrupt the flow or trend of DRS music!

The issue is quite complicated since cetain rags are recommended at weddings which are traditional! Though I am not an expert in thsi area. Let us hear from DRS elsewhere.
