I recently got an MP3 file of this artist from a friend of mine. I am impressed with his rendition. I am looking for more information about this artist such as lineage, cassettes or albums published. He also listed in Music India Online. Appreciate your help in this. Thanks

S. Kasthurirangan is a disciple of Sri TN Seshagopalan. I agree nadhasudha that he sings very well.

i have already posted a small informative item about the rendering of kriti ;kalyanarama' in the raag hamsanadham, which is excellent(courtesy, music india on line) .normally most of the vidwans sing only 'bantureeti kolu'in hamsanadham . kalyanarama has become 'an also ran 'in hamsanadham .kasturi, whose performance is almost a true replica of his legendary guru TNS, in all spects, is not a favorite of the big sabhas . not getting as many chances as he deserves, probably due to the fact , that he is a true replica of TNS .BUT WHY NOT IS THE QUESTION. pl let me know his website ,if anybody knows gobilalitha

Thanks for the information. I happen to be a sangeeta rasika and was wondering if there are any commercial albums of him available for sale. As gobilalitha has pointed out, I was very very impressed with his singing and I am wondering why the Chennai sabhas are not giving him the chances that he so richly deserves.

I have heard him on MusicIndiaOnline and liked it. I wish he could get the attention he deserves. In addition, I have heard from couple of my girlfriends that he's really good looking! I couldn't find any pictures online, though!
