I've heard the veena for so long that i thought there would be nothing to surpass it's music. But i recently had the chance to see Chitravina Ganesh play the instrument which made me think again.
The chitravina in his hands blended in like vocal chords .The smallest of the Gamakas were brought out so beautifully. Never have i seen such perfection and mastery. It is said that the Chitravina is one of the most difficult instruments to master, but he made it look like child's play . His music shows dedication and divinity. I've heard him sing in tandem with Shashikiran and he has mastered the kind of music which makes one think.
