Hi,
My son is around 11 year old. He sings in "A" . His voice did not break yet. When he gets that stage how much sruthi he will be lower? Will he ever get his "A" sruthi again?
Does any one can give some info about what sruthi does Semmangudi, Ariyakudi. Dr.Balamurali krishna sang after there voice break?
Thanks in advance.

I dont see how you can compare your son to SSI or Ariyakudi...

but Semmangudi sang at B for a long time (listen to 50's and 60's concerts)

and singing at A is normal for a kid before the voice breaks... but after, anything can happen, it depends on genetics, he might sing anywhere from D# to B.

On a more practical note, most male artists today (Sanjay, TMK, Vijay Siva) sing at 2 (D).

Thanks gumki_thatha . The legends I have mentioned is always roll model for all the beginers. This just to encorage the kids to see how the legends were sung after their voice break.
Any way, thanks for the reply.:)

My suggestion is to insist that he sings somewhere between C and D as his voice changes, and finally settle on the highest possible sruti at which he can sing more than two full octaves. I think this would ultimately be better for him than to continuously adapt the sruti to his voice.
