The meaning and the sense that the name of the award carries with it is something in the ideal most stages of a personI know;Still,I was courageous enough to recieve it as I could accept it for my Acharyas who have moulded me.

I don't know whether Sir remembers, but there was Mudra's One Raga One Krithi festival held at Music Academy Mini Hall. Sir sung with VVS on the violin and UKS on the mridangam. Shankarabaranam was the raga. A *breathtaking* Akshalingavibho with a neraval at Badari Vana Mula ...

Inspired me more than anything and made me learn more of MD's krithis and it's significance!

Edited to add, this was circa 1997 IIRC!! And it rained and I missed the bus. Jolly good walk from the Academy to West Mambalam

Yes,Mahesh ji;I remember the concert;That was one of the very few concerts with Sri.VVS sir accompanying me.

Being an ardent devotee of Paramacharya, it is apt that you have been honoured with the acharya award. The award carries more value in your case since you are a vidyaarthi who has never ending thirst for the knowledge of music.
