I'm planning to buy

Bharathanatyam precepts and practice,
Bharathanatyam essence and essential(Muralidharan),
Bharathanatyam adavus DVD,
Hastaprayoga by Jayalakshmi

This is basically to give theory input to my daughter .I Have two questions.
1.How is the content of the DVD.
2.How is the quality of DVDs at JayQ .The price is little low with these guys.

Any advise??

I'm familiar with three out of four of the DVDs/CD-Roms. As far as quality of content is considered its pretty good, but if your daughter is alreadly learning dance with a guru, the styles of the adavus and hasthas shown in the DVDs might differ, and could be misleading if she's trying to get a heads up on a class. I have ordered from JayQ before, and I have been satisfied with their products. Hope this helps!

I also bought Hastaprayoga by Jayalakshmi E. from www.JayQ.org , and I like it more than Swathi's hastha dvd. If your daughter is learning kalakshetra style, on JayQ.org you can also buy Bharathanatyam adavus DVDs of Kalavardhanis. The quality of DVDs at JayQ is the same as anywhere else. They have good reputation.

I ordered several DVDs from JayQ and chose to pay by paypal. Paypal deducted funds immediately and said it has send the money to jayq on sep 28. However JayQ sent me an email stating they have not received payment from paypal and hence withholding sending anything. Anyone experienced that. I do not want to blame JayQ yet, but I have uised paypal for several years and never faced such an issue from paypal. Any idea of getting DVDs or recovering money from JayQ?

I had a much worse experience with Celextel when I ordered 4 DVDs and paid by card but never recieved them. It was a headache to do the chargeback. It so easier to recover your money from Paypal if they blocked a transaction (go to "Resolution Center" and open a case). If you were using a proxy server, it is almost guaranteed that PayPal blocked the transaction.
