Mrudangam arangetram

One of our forum members (with the ID Sankirnam) is having his mrudanga arangetram at Sastri Hall on Sunday 5th August. Master Arjun is accompanying Sri S. Saketaraman with Sri Vittal Ramamurthy on violin and Dr S. Karthik on ghatam. Arjun is a disciple of Sri Neyveli Narayanan. Chief guests are Sangita Kalanidhi Sri Umayalpuram Sivaraman and Sri VV Sundaram.

Arjun lived in Sydney, Australia for a number of years before moving to the US.

We wish him all the best for his debut performance.

My Best Wishes to Arjun as i am having a concert for Neyveli Santanagopalan at Musiri Subramania Iyer's house i may not be able to attend. I wish the function all the success and kudos to Neyveli Narayanan, a very good friend of mine, for nurturing young talents and furthering our art.
