Would anybody have an idea about how I can get information about any kutcheris in Sydney before it happens. I've tried various searches, all to avail. Any information on sabhas or carnatic music circles in Sydney would be greatly appreciated.

Sydney has various carnatic organizations..

Pallavi organizes concerts by international artists every now and then, it is headed by Mohan Ayyar (on this forum) and Mr. V. V. Ramesh (who is the brother of Cleveland V. V. Sundaram and a good friend of mine!)

The Sydney Music Circle holds monthly concerts of local artists every month (at least I hope it is still monthly... it was back when I was in Sydney).

Rasikapriya is another sabha that was active in sponsoring and conducting concerts by international artists, I remember when I was there I attended concerts by Unnikrishnan, U. Srinivas, and T. V. Sankaranarayanan. I dont know if it is still active now, however, I havent anything about them recently.

The Murugan temple in Westmead conducts music programs sometimes, although they would mostly be tamil, due to the Sri Lankan crowd.

I should also add that the sabhas section of www.carnaticcorner.com lists a lot of music sabhas by country.

I am sure there are many cities not represented, so if you know of any other sabha's music page, I will be happy to add a link.
