Try these as starters...

1) http://www.guitarprasanna.com/

2) John McLaughlin's Shakti albums

3) http://www.rasikas.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=760

Vasanthakokilam, thank you for the links... I have checked all you have mentioned, but I need the other type... like V. K. Raman's duets with percussion or/and violin, sitar... If you know some, let me know, please.
Thanks for the help!!!

Apsara,
Lji had posted a sort of jugalbandhi of Kadri and a jazz ensemble: try that...that may be more like what you are looking for.

The best music of this very type I have ever found was sound tracks from movie "Morning raga" and wonderful CD "Navarasa" by V. K. Raman www.fluteraman.com Hope it will be helpful for somebody here.

If anyone knows some more fusion pieces with lots of jatis (solukattu) and good playback singing, share the information, please.

Thank you.
Well, I had their ACD "Nandu's dance", I have not found there something extremely attractive which could be compared with brilliant vocal of Kalyani Menon in "Morning raga"... may be I will find more... Another my finding was Prem Joshua.

Is it your intent to create another maelstrom here? (by mentioning Susheela Raman)

Apsara,
Try 'Madirakshi' - it has songs by Sikkhil Gurucharan, accompanied by Arun Srinivasan on the piano. The songs are outstanding - now they can't be used as anything other than padams, but they are awesome.

Hi Apsara,

Try some albums of Prem Joshua. I am a Bharatnatyam/Mohiniattam dancer and have used his music pieces in creating contemporary fusion items. Yatri and Secret of the wind are good.....but, again it depends who the audience are. Prem Joshua's music is particularly good if your target audience is Western.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Bindu
