LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD for Sangeetha Kalanidhi Smt.R.Ve

Hi!:) am a new member here......

The Rotary Club of Chennai Kilpauk honoured three distinguished personalities from different fields on April 15th. The function was held at Hotel Residency Tower, Chennai.

The Chief Guest Major General B. Sivasankar conferred the â€˜LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARDâ€™ on Sangitha Kalanidhi Smt.R.Vedavalli.
(The other recipient of this award was Smt.Akkamma Krishnamurthy, President of Andhra Mahila Sabha; â€˜For The Sake Of Honourâ€™ award was presented to the renowned Economist Prof. Dr. Raja Jesudoss Chelliah).

Here is the Citation presented to Smt. Vedavalli:

A very deserving award of honour indeed! My only comment is that Vedavalli amma is still in her prime and there are yet many more years of service to CM. Let us assume that this appreciation is in advance of the best that is yet to come!

I am glad, that atleast in this instance, the award from MMA got ahead of the other deserving awards!

Congratulations, VEdavalli avargaLE! We are all very happy for yet another honor bestowed on you!

Though I have followed her career as a vidUshi and teacher with admiration, I had not met her in years until I started going to Chennai for the season in the past decade. I would run into her at the Academy once in a while. It was a pleasure and honor to have her there at the Arasi CD release event...
