Hi Priyaram,
The ratipathipriya Kriti'jaga janani is a a composition of Ghanam Sri krishna Iyer. For a long time I too was under the mistaken notion that it is a composition of D.esigar.I was corrected by Prof.P.Ramachandriah, retd.Musicologist from Music Academy, chennai .
Having been fascinated by the musical beauty of the raaga I composed "Hari amsanE Hara VamsanE" glorifying Lord Ayyappa, and the song has become a favourite of Chennai rasikas, that too after the same has been popularised by by Smt Rajee Gopalakrishnan thro her emotive presentation.

the tillaisthanam lineage of Tyagaraja renders the 'gnanamosagarada' in shadvidamargini.

There used to be a recording of that in some website, not sure if its still available. Let me check my recordings and if i have it, will upload it.

I heard that in one of the commercial releases by Yesudas. (Tarangini). While the inlay card was saying it was shaDvidhamArgiNi, the rendition was definitely in gamanaSrama.

The Dikshitar school takes Sri raga as the 22nd mela. Accordingly Dikshitar has not composed in Kharaharapriya.

Ratipatipriya is also known as Sharadapriya. It has the same structure as Hamsadhwani (SRGPNS SNPGRS) but is a janya of Kharaharapriya.

Hallo Mohan,
Hamsadwani has ANTARA GHANDAARAM WHERE AS RATHIPATIPRIYA HAS SAADHARAANAGHANDARAM. This is the only difference between Rath.Priya and hamsa.dwani

The nishadam is also different. Hamsadhwani takes kAkali ni and Ratipatipriya takes the kaishiki ni.
