It is quite a bit of years gap to hear Vidushi GV. She sang with lot of power and her style is not to go with any high speed . Nevertheless there is quite a bit of Ms amma numbers and in addition there is indeed quite a lot of rare and creative Pallavi. I think for the first time i have ever heard this rare namO namO is from Ms amma great grand daughter. I did not know then that ms amma sang this Annamacharya song . It is indeed a nice choice and with swaras nattai gives a guaranteed great start

Lot of MMG in this season and i honestly adore it . What can one say about this extraordinary ragam mAyamAlavagowlai there is a typecast of restraint that can come and also a bit of speed that usually comes up in swaras . GV mentioned that lot of names are mentioned in the charanam and she sang exceendingly with her voice showing more power the emote was aggressively locked in that super pitch

The submain was varAli , the master piece krithi came out well in seshachala nayakam.KOnjam she could have cut bit more loose in neraval and also swaras could have gone bit more is what i was thinking , but hey she was making a lot of time for the forthcoming RTP. vasantha swaras did not register that well as a fast number . THe main was bit curtailed understandable as it had few round of cittaswaras . TO the best of my knowledge i have never heard this KOteeswara iyer Keeravani krithi. After a nice alapana this krithi konjam has a bit of asymmetric thamizh words , she did very well. I think MLV amma popularized it first and i am not sure if any one before that has sung in concert .May be GV learnt from her primary Guru LAte A Sundaresan , who is known to have a vast repertoire. The swaras were measured and impactful

07A. RTP in hamsavinodhini
06 mins alapana and 05 mins violin return
taanam for 05 mins
Pallavi line -->Bhagavatheem saraswatheem namamyaham.... parama hamsa vinodini
swaras in hamsavinodhini + ?? + ??
07B.tani for 08 mins

08. sagara sayana vibhO - bhAgeshri - MDR
09. pAga gungurarE - ?? - Meera
10. maithreem bhajatha - yamunakalyani - kanchi mahaswami
11. sri rama jaya Mangalam - shurutti - psivan

Hamsavinodhini was the Pallavi , i think Did DR M BMK first sang this . This ragam is quite a great ragam konjam has a lot of resemblance to say Maaand and Kannada , she did very leisurely both the taanam an. Taanam was sung with a good madhyamakalam anchored feel . Pallavi was nice with lines of ragamudra crafted . Her stamina was impressive and in ragamaliga heer two ragas along with hamsavinodhini were bit short in expansiveness

In the tukkadas MDR sagara sayana stood out as a lovely choice post RTP but maithreeem bhajatha her voice and shruthi reached a high fidelity.NOt a fan of pAga gungurAre , a meera bhajan . She ended with a quick shurutti mangalam

Violinist Mysore shrikant could have got a little more violin nAdham from his instrument , he played very well and i liked his varali the most . B Sivaraman has picked a bit more speed and a slightly lot more power which is a great thing . He really brings in a lot of his Guru TK Murthy patterns that are so assorted and yet does never sound overbanging. Ghatam Krishnaswamy was not obediant ghatam player he showed lot of patterns that were impressive . THeir tani was crisp played to give bit more air time for GV.

Overall an excellent concert for 2 hours and 35 mins
