SOURCE., A very interesting and informative article byRanjaniGovind in friday Hindu dated 16/5/08
The sisters are planning to take up shortly a composition by AlathurVijayakumar in the raag haripriya,,a janya raaga of sarangi(as mentioned in the article), being the name of the tom-boyish sister...

my comments, Ramaraj would have come out with a composition of his own had he been in good health
Haripriya, who specialised in E nglish literature, was part of the UNDER15 WOMENSCRICKET TEAM.
MY COMMENTS-That's why her sangathis are so sweet and swift like a TENDULKAR SIX .
Shanmukapriya graduated in biology
Finally a feast for music addicts. The sisters are now taking advanced pallavi lessons from the King of pallavis,SRI TRSubramanian, who is taking them on an ingenious path of novelty.
The sisters are interested in InteriorDecor
what else , Rush to her kutcheris.. (At this old age, my typing and presentation may not be in style . pl bear up with me ) gobilalitha

I second revanthv552 ,with regard to annamacharya kritis.
I love the bowli Ekkati Manusha Janmam , especially, sung by them.

Anyone knows why the sister duo are not singing these days?
Really miss them and not seen any new performances from them past 2-3 years so bit concerned

Hope they will be singing in 2021-2022 season And they will be back with a bang
Best wishes to both of them!

Govinda Miha -
Priya Ganam -

Priya Sisters .

The kriti Govindamiha Gopikananda Kandam describes the divine and joyful presence of Lord Krishna (Govinda) in Vrindavan. It is a lyrical and devotional piece from the Krishna Leela Tarangini, a collection of compositions by the 17th-century saint-composer Narayana Teertha.
Key meanings in the kriti
Pallavi: Govinda miha gopikananda kandam, sanandam avalokayam mukundam
Translation: Let us joyfully behold Mukunda, who is Govinda, the root of happiness for the gopis.
Charanam 1: Gopika gana nayana kumuda purnendum...
Translation: Krishna is the full moon that makes the lotus-like eyes of the gopis bloom. He is the jewel of the cowherd clan, the friend of all people, and the ocean of mercy.
Charanam 2: Sangita rasa rasika sarasa sallapam...
Translation: He is a connoisseur of musical bliss, engaged in delightful conversations. The simple tunes of his flute remove the sorrow of the righteous. He is the charming and handsome Madanagopala, and the embodiment of perfect bliss.
