My review:
As usual introduction. All the three Vidwans entered the dais simultaneously.
Patri is a Right hander but he occupied the LHS of the vocalist at 75 degrees viewing audience. An excellent 3 Hrs concert.
All kritis followed by Raga Alapana and Niraval. The concert was a celebrations of
Carnatic music with the Artistes known for their dynamic performances and mastery of the instrument. Niraval and swaram occupying the entire pieces. I am not discussing here elaborately since there is a quiz competition for the members on this concert. It was a Patri's day one can call. Tickets were all sold a month in advance. Hall was full.
The main Raga was Malavi. Nennarunchi was the composition. This, as he was telling selected for RTP and as he could not discuss with the Violinist. Hence selected this Kriti. The entire Hall was full maintaining absolute silence. It is learnt Quiz competitions are conducted now a days to encourage Rasikas interest.
At the tail end one lady Rasika wanted Suba panthuvarali. He did not. Patri was not satisfied the mike arrangement and took more time for adjustment.
