Thematic and Educational Concert on MD
It was a Lecture cum vocal concert. In other words an Harikatha. 3 Hrs duration with lot of krithis by MD not in full. Main krithi was Nayaki Ranga Nayagam.
All creations of MD in bits. Lot of lecture in Tamil and English.
Arvind"s knowedge on Music compositions is immense. A well attended event mostly by very young students.
MD's handling of Ragas and Pallavis in various ragas were well explained and appreciated. The hall was full.
The program came to an end with thanks giving by a lady who took lot of time and repeating the same anecdotes narrated by the main Artiste. Violin and Mirudhangam played their role very well. Rasikas who attended may kindly share more details please.

I am yet to hear him live , he is an extremely talented musician , one of the young TNS school brigade . His approach and delivery style is extremely good . Ranganayakam(Nayaki) of TNS is one of a kind rendition- right polish of brigas and emote.
Very happy that you are reporting from Bay Area. 3 hours duration is not bad , but hey it is bay area- what is happening with SIFA and Sankritilaya concerts of that part, no reviews from there.
