A Tani at 8.30 PM – for a senior artist (given) by VS needs special courage/ 8.30 Pm to 8.53, it was a delight to hear. To my little knowledge on Tani, it was outstanding. With Chandrasekhar Sharama on the Ghatam, it was absolute divine music.

In rAmA nIyeda- He took neraval in …….”Tana……sukhama”
Thyagarajar Says – in rAma nIyeda- Kriti- “Tana Sowkyamu tAneruga, ganorulagu tagu bodhana sukhama……”
He gives two anecdotes in this.. பெண் வேடம் அணிந்தவனுக்கு, பெண்ணின் நளினம் புரியுமா. புலி வேடம் தரித்தவனுக்கு. பசு வின் வாத்சல்யம் புரியுமா ? அது போல் உன்னை புரியாதவருக்கு, உன் தயை புரியுமா. ?
Which means “How can one advice a meaning of happiness without experiencing himself” – Like Can the taste of of Your name be known to those who are devoid of love towards you ?
Like this, there were three masters decorating the stadium with rich experience in music delivers to the audience the true value of Carnatic music.

At first, I was wondering why you would bring a vintage combo concert to the Concert Reviews section, merely looking at the title of the thread. Then I looked at the review. Now I know!
Yes, what a combination! Is it my thinking that of late the siblings playing duets is de riguer rather than the siblings
accompanying other artistes?
Anyhow, as you mean to convey, what a regrouping of the old masters or their schools as it were! One non-SK among them, but what difference does it make? No big deal at all
