Tyagaraja's journey of emotions

Tyagaraja, one of the musical Trinity has expressed a host of emotions in his various compositions. These are indicative of some events and milestones in his life, his inner feelings, and more. This conceptualization, by Vinay Varanasi and Srivathsan S explores a spectrum of emotions that arose in his journey through narrative and music. From spiteful remarks to one's deity, to pining like a lover, the journey will focus on milestones covering themes agony, angst, frustration to bliss and contentment.

Each emotion will be presented through narrative and music. The journey will cover similar sentiments expressed by multiple composers and languages separated by time and distance but bound together by commonality of thought. The focus of the program is for listeners to be able to appreciate the diversity of each emotion, and it's relation to the larger theme of spirituality and the self.

MadRasana Festival 2023

The MadRasana Festival 2023 is scheduled from December 22nd to December 26th and will take place at the Asian College of Journalism in Taramani, Chennai. The performances are set for 10 AM, 2 PM, and 5 PM, with each session lasting a maximum of 2 and a half hours. Ample parking is available for your convenience.

Tickets are now available for purchase if you wish to attend the live concert; there will be no live streaming of the event.

Ramakrishnan Murthy and Abhishek Raghuram's INR 750 tickets have been completely sold out, but you can still secure INR 500 passes. The INR 750 tickets for Dushyanth Sridhar and Sandeep Narayan's concerts are nearly sold out. Unfortunately, Season Passes are already sold out.

Typically considered to be a mischief maker, the role of Narada has often been reduced to that of gest, featuring as a comic relief in mythological stories. However, there is far more depth to his character, as evident in Sanskrit and regional literature. He is a guru, a well wisher and a soul that helps devotees in distress and more. His persona far surpasses the stereotypes that surround him, and this production by Madrasana aims to highlight that. Presented by Vinay Varanasi ( Story Teller), Aditya Madhavan ( Singer), B K Raghu ( Violin), Adamya Ramanand ( Mridangam), 'Vara Narada' pays homage to lesser known aspects of the bard through stories and music. That sounds amazing. I think it may clash with the Ragasudha Unmissable Mamis... Will have to see.

Why not try micless for one of your RS Hall concerts? You have a smallish audience sitting close: it might work well. Actually, previous concert was much too loud, although the one before that was ok.
