EDIT : The name is dEvaranji, apologies. I was up very late watching Nadal vs Federer play a truly insane match and made an unforced error.

This is a rAgA with multiple possibilities in the ascent - S M1 P D1 P N3 S / D1 N3 S / D1 SS / P N3 D1 P N S are all mentioned in the SSP. The
A geetham of Venkatamakhi in this rAgA seems to favour PDS, while the sole kriti of Muthuswami Dikshitar (namastE paradEvatE) favors PNS / PDPNS , rather similar to pADi (in fact if it had the R1, it would be pADi). While Subbarama Dikshitar seems to favor PDS and even SDPD phrases in the beginning, but shifts to PNS/PDPNS more at the end of his "notated" AlApana sancharas. Hmmm...
So coming to namastE paradEvatE, here's Dr. S Ramanathan for your pleasure : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXL3nV-rIXo
And of course, another singer of the old school (but always his own way), the other Dr. -- BMK - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJi8nlpJ3-0 - He too favours the PNS / PDPNS combination.
All in all, the kriti has put the rAgA on the side of pADi, but it might have also favored the D1 more at some point. Without more compositions in this, this is all we have of this rAgA (other than a few like paras, nAdanAmakriyA, lalitA, sAvEri, bauLi and gauLa IIRC, this is the fate of all the other mAyAmALavagauLa janya rAgAs, of which there are at least 58 (!!) known ).
Note : For those wondering, pADi goes like S R1 M1 P D1 P N3 S / P N3 S and S N3 P D1 P M1 R1 S
